Mathias Berbel grew up in Simi Valley, Calif., and has been living in Hawaii for the past three years. He plays soccer for Chaminade University as well as a broadcast journalism major here at Chaminade. Mathias enjoys reading about sports, writing about sports and of course watching sports. His favorite website is bleacher report, he likes to see all the inside thoughts of journalist all around the country and it is all about sports. Mathias considers that more of a hobby now because it became an everyday thing for him. He has been playing soccer since he was five years old. Mathias does not want to be a professional soccer player when he graduates college, he’d rather be a sports journalist or analyst because he loves all sports and when he’s watching ESPN Mathias feels like he’s right at home. Mathias is entering his final semester here at Chaminade and he will be writing for The Silversword all semester, keeping you updated with whatever is good with the world today.
