Born and raised on the island of Kaua‘i, Lei U’i Kaholokula aspires to take her education in Communication and Mass Media to greater heights and become a news anchor for Hawaii News Now upon graduation this spring. The former student athlete for the Lady Silverswords volleyball team balances not only academics but is also an ambassador for her island home reigning as the current Miss Kaua‘i. Throughout her reign as Miss Kaua'i, Lei U'i was fortunate to travel places out of state such as Japan to share her culture with a wide spread of people. With a degree in Communications and a minor in Hawaiian studies, Kaholokula hopes to one day combine the two and share it through Mass Media.
