Chaminade lit up its campus during the annual Christmas Lighting Ceremony on Monday, Nov. 28.

The school-wide sponsored event began at 4:30 p.m. with activities in the Student Loo Center along with holiday refreshments such as sugar cookies and hot chocolate. Some of the activities included a speed present wrapping competition and decorating ornaments.

The ornaments will be donated to Next Step Shelter and be used to decorate the tree on Friday Dec. 2 during Chaminade’s Off-Campus Christmas. Each ornament has a name of a child from the shelter.

After the activities, students and faculty gathers in front of Ching Hall to witness the lighting ceremony at 6 p.m. Brother Bernie did the honors of lighting Ching Hall to begin the holiday season.
