After a three-year hiatus, the much-awaited first four episodes of Season 5 of “Stranger Things” were released the day before Thanksgiving. Each episode this season consists of about an hour of drama and action.
First released July 15th 2016, “Stranger Things” followed three middle school boys, Mike, Lucas and Dustin as they searched for their missing friend Will, uncovering conspiracy theories, government coverups, and the Upside Down. This final season of “Stranger Things” will tackle the group’s dedication to defeating Vecna, exploring what they can of the Upside Down, and restoring peace to their hometown of Hawkins, Indiana.
The show has become a cultural sensation, with fans desperate for updates and this final season. It has made a star out of Millie Bonnie Bongiovi, formerly known as Millie Bobby Brown, who has grown from the bald-headed Eleven into a mature, powerful, combat-ready El.
Pejan Slater, a junior forward on the men’s basketball team, binged the first four episodes and said he was in complete shock in almost every episode.
“This might be one of the best seasons so far,” Slater said.
There are so many possibilities that could happen with the second volume of this season coming out on Christmas Day. There’s still much to discover with three episodes coming up.
Senior outside hitter Alizasysha “Toodie” Sopi of the women’s volleyball team expressed the same reactions and feelings about how this new season is going. She also pointed out that the biggest shock was Will getting powers also.

“I thought Max wasn’t really gonna get that much screen time” Sopi mentioned, “So I was happy to see Max.”
Max was introduced to us in season two along with her stepbrother Billy Hargrove. Max became a permanent character in the show once she was premiered in the Episode “MADMAX”.
Max is currently in a Coma where she can’t get out of it, but had the chance to get out of it in this “mental world” where Vecna seems to be in charge of.
(Vecna, originally in the real world was named Henry, or number one, is also another version of El/Eleven with powers and was banished to the Upside Down and turned into “Vecna” and is taking his revenge, causing chaos to everything that put him into the Upside Down.)
When Max was injured in the previous season, she also seemed to have gone blind and had a lot of pain was put into a coma.
The show has been a great way for some students to decompress their high emotions for their final projects and tests and transfer those high and intense emotions to the show.
The next three episodes come out on Christmas Day, and the eighth and final episode comes out on New Year’s Day.
