Pacific Island Review: Behind-the-scenes with Hawaiian Club
October 24, 2016
Hawaiian Club is a cultural club that teaches the importance of hula. There are a total of 30 members including Uncle Jack, the group’s Kumu Hula. Through the art form of hula, stories and history can be told for others to enjoy and learn. Many members of the club have participated in hula since their childhood, although there are new members who have started their journey with hula at Chaminade University. Hawaiian Club is a valuable experience for those who want to learn.
On Friday, Oct. 21, the night of Pacific Island Review, the club felt excited to share this cultural tradition.
