Recently, Marvel has been making a comeback at the box office with nearly all Marvel movies hitting top box office sales over the past few years, so we should all love this new addition to the superhero series. “X-Men: Apocalypse”
*Release Date: May 27

“The Conjuring 2”
*Release Date: June 10
The first movie of this series had great reviews and was remarkably frightening to most viewers. I would have to agree with those who left their reviews, this movie had me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Many have been anticipating a sequel because the end of the first movie was such a cliffhanger. Sometimes sequels ruin the series, hopefully, that’s not the case with this movie.

“Finding Dory” *Release Date: June 17
Thirteen years later we get arguably the most anticipated sequel of the Disney tenure. Many of us have been awaiting the sequel to Finding Nemo since we saw it when we were children. The end of “Finding Nemo” showed us Dory living happily with Nemo and his dad when they return from their voyage to save Nemo, which may be what leads the new Disney movie. Everyone who loves Finding Nemo is going to want to see this movie.

“Independence Day: Resurgence”
*Release Date: June 24
A young Will Smith owned the theaters with the original “Independence Day,” but unfortunately, he will not be in the sequel. A plus though however, is that with an advancement in technology, the alien figures will look way more realistic, rather than huge awkward plastic blobs … or whatever they are.

“The Purge: Election Year”
*Release Date: June 24
The first “Purge” was an interesting horror movie with a twist. They created this new concept of all crime being legal for 24 hours once a year. This was interesting and scary to most viewers because of how realistic it was made. It was one of the best movies I’ve ever seen because of the clever plot, and the sequel was even better. Now everyone is anticipating this addition to the series making it a trilogy.
