The experience of eating at the Loco Moco Drive Inn in Mililani was a pleasant one that should be recommended to anyone you know.  The food was incredibly delightful to eat and was able to easily satisfy a hungry customer with its great portion sizes.

The signature loco moco dish was made up of two sunny side up eggs stacked on top of two hamburger patties with a small portion of macaroni salad in a corner. All of that was covered in a thick layer of gravy on top, and they were spread over a bed of rice on the bottom.

The first cut into the patty was easy enough since it was so tender. It met all the expectations that colleagues built it up to be. The taste of the yolk and gravy mix complemented each other surprisingly well. It was a warm sensation blended with so many different flavors. Both provided a nice addition to the other parts of the meal as well. The only part of the meal I disliked was the macaroni salad, although that is due to a personal bias against the side. The portion size was more than enough to satisfy anyone who visits. Plus, the price was roughly $8.50. Between the price and portion size, you have a combo that’s certain to satisfy any hungry customers.

On the outside of the building, the structure gives off a sort of flashy and elegant look thanks to the surrounding area. The walkway is paved with different colored bricks. The building itself has neon lights above the doorway and an architectural look that complements today’s modern style.

Once inside, the décor changes to a more simple design. It was a small dining area that was about 20 feet by 20 feet. There were about six benches for the customers to peacefully eat. The seating arrangement was not ideal for relaxing, but it still provided adequate comfort.

The customer service here was excellent. The cashier was a patient young woman who endured constant indecisiveness by customers. Nevertheless, she remained kind and continued to provide phenomenal support. For the new customers who had never been to the restaurant, she was able to effectively help them make a decision by explaining how each dish was prepared and what it entailed. All of this was done while maintaining a genuine smile. Within three minutes of ordering, the dish was brought out.

One complaint would be that there were a number of messy tables in the building. Crumbs from the earlier dishes still lingered on several seats and tables. It would take multiple inspections of the furniture before a booth was clean enough to sit down and enjoy the food. The chairs were a bit close together which caused the legs and feet of party members to bump into each other. It also took a bit of time to retrieve the silverware from the napkin because of the technique used to wrap it. The napkin would often would get tangled in the points of the fork and end up ripping it and causing it to stick on the fork. Overall, these minor issues were not enough to ruin the evening.

Loco Moco Drive Inn is a restaurant that everyone should visit at least once if visiting Hawaii. This is a stop that guarantees satisfaction thanks to the great taste and price.
