Girl Scout Cookies Ranked
It’s that time of the season where your money goes missing because of cute little girls. That’s right! It’s Girl Scout cookie season. I have tried every Girl Scout cookie available this year, so you don’t have to. I have listed the cookies best to worst so you don’t waste your money.
Samoas
What’s not to like about these? Samoas are delicious and with every bite you get caramel, chocolate, coconut flakes, and the cookie in the middle. I’ve never had a cookie with a combination of flavors that taste so good.
Tagalongs
A spread of peanut butter layered on a thin cookie covered in chocolate, it is breathtaking. I’m a peanut butter lover, so this cookie was made for me.
Do-si-dos
If you love having peanut butter on apples, bread, and other goods, then this cookie is for you. The cookie has two crunchy oatmeal cookies filled with sweet peanut butter. It has the right amount of peanut butter to cookie ratio and I’m here for it.
Caramel Chocolate Chip
This was my first time trying this cookie and I was pleased. It reminded me of the chocolate chip cookie from Cookie Corner. The caramel was a great addition and gave it a creamy texture.
Trefoils
Trefoils are the signature and traditional Girl Scout cookie. It’s made of shortbread and designed in the shape of the Girl Scout trefoil. Trefoil means three leaves. Each leaf stands for a part of the Girl Scout Promise. The promise they make is to serve God and their country, to help people at all times, and to live by the Girl Scout Law. I enjoy shortbread cookies and the Trefoils are a great example of a well made shortbread cookie.
Thanks-A-Lot
These play off the Trefoils by being a shortbread cookie but instead it has chocolate on one side. It is a simple chocolate cookie that’s good but kind of boring.
Both Girl Scout S’mores
These are your typical inspired s’more cookies. There are two different cookies with the same name, Girl Scout S’mores. One is a crunchy graham sandwich with creamy chocolate and marshmallowy filling. The other one is a crispy graham cookie double dipped in crème icing and finished with a chocolatey coating. There is nothing special about these two different cookies. They both taste good but it’s basic. I would prefer an actual s’more.
Toffee-Tastic
I never had these before so going into this I had high hopes and was excited to try it. I love cookies and I love toffee, so I thought when combining the two it would be out of this world. It ended up tasting stale and chewy.
Lemonades
My grandma likes them, but she also watches soap operas. So maybe her preferences are a bit different than mine. This cookies tastes like lemon bars but hard, sour, and gross. I’m sure they were trying to attempt a balanced sweet and sour flavor.
Lemon-Ups
These are the same as the Lemonades cookie but sweeter. Usually I love lemon-flavored cookies and other lemon baked goods but with this Lemon-Ups cookie, I hated it. It tasted like a soap bar. Although my opinion of this cookie is rough, I loved the motivational messages on each cookie.
Thin Mints
I don’t get the point of this cookie. They’re absolutely nasty. Mint and chocolate do not go well with each other. It’s like putting toothpaste on chocolate.
