There is nothing better than treating one’s self to a huge mess of nachos especially now as the dog days of summer are approaching. For those that are wondering here is a list of the top 5 nachos that Honolulu has to offer.

5. Nachos Bellgrande – Taco Bell

For the broke college student, there is always the simple fallback of Taco Bell’s Nachos Bellgrande. They are simple nachos covered in beans, taco meat, sour cream, and salsa. Taco Bell is also open 24 hours a day at most locations, allowing one to satisfy any late-night cravings one might have. The best part is walking out with all that food for a price less than $5.

4. Island Style Ahi Poke Nachos – The Beach Bar

Located at 2365 Kalakaua Ave. lies the Beach Bar where one can find authentic Hawaiian ahi poke nachos. These nachos are served hot covered in local caught yellow fin tuna, sweet Maui onions, guacamole, bonito flakes, kizomi nori, sriracha aioli and kabayaki sauce all served on wonton chips for $19. The Beach Bar is directly in front of the beach and what could be better than enjoying a beachside sunset with a delicious snack.

3. Braised Beef Nachos – Rumfire

Rumfire, located on the beach side of the Sheraton in Waikiki, has an interesting surprise for any nacho lover. For $15 one can get a medium-sized portion of nachos that comes with tortilla chips sautéed with tender braised beef, guacamole, sour cream, the house sauce and a delicious topping of melted pepper jack cheese to complete the creation. It also helps that Cheeseburger Waikiki is also known for having some of the best service in Waikiki so expect those nachos to be quick.
